Until Russo took over it was mostly PG or PG-13. Sure it was losing in the ratings after the fingerpoke of doom, writing was getting a bit stale, but it was also a vastly different product from what WWF was producing at the time. It wasn't bad, in fact for most of it's existence it was really good. I would love to one day see an unbiased documentary on the WCW not made by Vince, featuring interviews with more of the core guys like Sting, Bischoff, Nash, or Konnan, DDP, etc.Ĭompared with the other WWE documentaries, which I feel over sensationalize in a positive light, they do the exact opposite with anything featuring WCW, whether it is a feature like this or the NWO documentary, or just when they are covering part of a former WCW superstar's career.

It didn't really get that bad until Russo took over.Īll in all though I think it is an good watch, if taken with a grain of salt. They skipped quite a bit of stuff on there and made the program out to be a lot worse than it was. A lot of things I consider to be exaggerations. Not that many good things to say about it in conclusion. However as they near the end you can obviously tell this was made by the company that was WCW's biggest competitor. I like most of it, as a big WCW fan the first three quarters of it give me goosebumps. On this episode, Dutch discusses how much the MJF vs Tony Khan/AEW situation is a work, Cody Rhodes working with a torn pectorial muscle, Bobby Lashley's lack of magic, AEW creating an interim title, how best to deal with Vince McMahon, TNA talent being jealous of Sting's contract, why he doesn't like Dave Meltzer, Stephanie McMahon leaving WWE, Michael Cole's commentary and more!I've watched this three or four times.
